LEADER AS TEAM BUILDER…
PLAY ON THEIR STRENGTHS:
Building a High-Performing Team
If teams and organizations are to function at their
best, the diverse talents and styles of team members
must be blended, capitalized upon, and appreciated. The
failure to achieve these goals results in simmering
conflicts, wasted talents, and diminished motivation. On
the other hand, a harmonious team gets things done that
no star talents can individually accomplish. (Harmony
means different notes blended beautifully together.)
This workshop opens the eyes of leaders to the impact of
diverse communication styles, personalities, values, and
other competencies, providing realistic methods for
producing synergy among them. Here’s a sample of what
participants will take away. They’ll:
learn how to identify and fully utilize the differing
gifts and talents of team members;
build skill in “reading” the behavioral and
communication styles of others, putting those skills to
work in improved communication, motivation, and
performance;
understand the six key values that energize individuals
and how to make these work for the team;
develop insight into their own likes and dislikes in
team members, and learn why they often need most those
they like least;
find ways to inspire team members to appreciate and
celebrate differences rather than judging them;
identify key leadership strategies for bringing out the
best in people with varying personality styles, thereby
creating energized, high-performing teams.
